Theory: A boost gauge is there to let you know how many pounds per square inch of boost/pressure you have. The stock gauge does not have any reference numbers, so you cannot tell when the car hits a specific amount (like 5psi or 10psi).
Opinion: The stock gauge is nearly worthless, so an aftermarket solution is a must, particularly when intending to increase boost. I wanted a gauge to fit the stock location, and almost all companies have stopped producing the ~45mm gauges. This Omori gauge is definitely nice. You can even adjust the backlight to any color (by adjusting red/green/blue outputs via a small controller with knobs). I feel this is a very good product at a very reasonable price.
